Video shows rescue of kayakers, including two children, after being swept out to sea in California

Marin County, California – Four kayakers, including two children, were rescued after being swept out to sea in Marin County, California.

In a Facebook post, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said it was asked by the Marin County Fire Department to help rescue people near the mouth of Tomales Bay on Saturday.

They said bystanders saw two kayaks washed out to sea by rough waves.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said helicopters may be dispatched to Marin County to assist with rescues because the county is close to Tomales Bay and sea conditions are dangerous.

Once the helicopter arrived at the scene, the crew began searching for the kayaker and was soon found.

A kayaker, including 2 adults and 2 children, was stranded on the western shore of Tomales Bay.

Due to the remote location and rough waves, the kayakers were loaded onto helicopters and taken to shore.
