Ukrainian President Zelensky calls on UN to punish Russia and set up a tribunal

UN: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday urged the UN to punish Russia’s aggression, create a special tribunal and compensation fund, and remove Moscow’s veto power.
“A crime has been committed against Ukraine and we demand just punishment,” said Zelensky, the only leader allowed to speak by video at the annual summit.
Wearing his trademark military green T-shirt, Zelensky said in a pre-recorded speech that Russia violated the principles of international organizations.
Zelensky called for the establishment of a special tribunal to hold Russia “criminal of aggression against our country” and accountable.
He asked for funds to compensate Ukrainians for the damage they suffered during the invasion.
Zelensky also called on the United Nations to remove Russia’s veto power over the Security Council.
Ukraine has previously claimed that Moscow holds the seat of the former Soviet Union, not Russia.
