Twitter knows to share screenshots of tweets elsewhere.
Some Twitter users are starting to see new pop-ups prompting them to share links to their tweets instead of screenshots. App researcher Jane Manchun Wong spotted a new popup that appears immediately after a user takes a screenshot of a post. The prompt will say “Would you like to share a Tweet instead?” Users are presented with several different versions, including a “copy link” button and a “share tweet” button.part of the staff The Barge I got a “copy link” popup to get the link to the screenshot tweet.
Twitter didn’t immediately respond to a request for more information about the popup, but it could be a small update the company is testing to get people to use Twitter more.
