Former captain of Epervier du Togo, Shay Emmanuel Adebayor, sent a touching tribute to Christian Atsu after attending his funeral in Ghana. 17 mars 2023.

The former Ghanaian international tragically passed away at the age of 31 after the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023.

The Togolese footballer who attended the funeral was full of emotion and said a final goodbye to the former Chelsea player.

“Rest in peace, Christian Atu. Thus many talents are blessed with terrain and Boncourt. Tu vas nous manquer”, écrit Sheyi.

Atsu et Adebayor se sont connus pendant ses jours en Premier League anglaise avec Chelsea et Newcastle United.
