Sky Sports’ NBA expert reveals projected 2023 All-Star lineup ahead of February’s clash

There are 25 days left until the 2023 All-Star Game on February 19 in Salt Lake City. Of course, there’s more to do than letting his NBA experts at Sky Sports predict the likely players on the starting line. -Oops?
Matthew Tanner
center: Nikola Jokic! He’s the best passing player who isn’t a point guard in basketball history.
Forward: Jayson Tatum, he led the Boston Celtics to the best record in the NBA.
Forward: Kevin Durant. He continues to get buckets with his 34 and moves up the all-time scoring ranks. (Does recovery from injury change anything?)
guard: Luka Doncic can’t stop. (that’s all).
guard: Donovan Mitchell. His 71-point performance alone warrants his participation.
Angus Krompasky
center: Jokic can win matches without scoring, purely because of his IQ.But I’m going with Joel Embiid
Forward: Giannis Antetokounmpo, a monster number for a giant man.
Forward: Tatum, kill me again Lead Celts to first place in Eastern ConferenceI was tempted to have Jaylen Brown here instead, but Tatum surpassed it.
guard: “Luca magic”… need I say more?
guard: Spider (Mitchell). If he doesn’t start, there will be riots.
Partial Reserves: Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Ja Morant, Domantis Sabonis, James Harden, Zion Williamson (if healthy).
Notable mentions: Jalen Brunson deserves a nod. He has exploded in activity recently. Also Stephen Curry. He’s still putting out numbers, but Dubs’ talisman could be off the start of the year.We also have to thank Markelle Fultz for her comeback. The man struggles to remove the label on his bust.
Ellis Marsh
center: Yokiku again. If you end up with Embiid and Jokic, I personally have to go with Joker – plus Doncic and Jokic are a great double act!
Forward: James.I know, I know, he’s an All-Star, but it’s not just the statsIt’s also about stars, and nothing has more star power than LBJ.
Forward: Antetokounmpo; the best player in the world When You can always rely on him to really enjoy the All-Stars. He has consistently been one of the funniest players of the weekend and one of the guys to watch.
guard: donchik. All-Stars are a spectacle and need the best magicians in the NBA.
guard: Mitchell. As a jazz fan, I love how suddenly everyone appreciates Spida now that he’s left Utah.
Mariam Nas
center: I have to agree with everyone else. It can’t be any other than Jokic. The man hit a triple-double for fun and isn’t at full capacity this season with Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. back.
Forward: Tatum, for multiple reasons. He leads the league’s best offense, rarely misses a game, and averages 31.2 points.
Forward: Durant. It’s a big decision to leave Antetokounmpo, but unfortunately Giannis was a little uneasy without the support of Chris Middleton. Plus, he has to believe what he sees from Durant before he gets nervous. A crazy ability to pass anywhere on the court and to do it like no one else at 34 years old.
guard: easy pick, doncic.
guard: Mitchell scored 71 points against the Chicago Bulls, making him the first to qualify. in January.
Notices: (Sorry Giannis, Kyrie Irving, Tyrese Haliburton, Embiid, Curry, Julius Randle and LBJ, but hopefully those are the names you see on the bench!).
