Rotary club trains Isolo residents on conflict resolution



To keep the peace in the Isolo region of Lagos State, the Rotary Club of Isolo trained 100 residents in peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

The event was part of the club’s monthly program. Tagged: ‘Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution’ Isolo Rotary Club President, Dr. Attilade Femi Oshonyi, who said ‘conflict is inevitable’, added that acclaimed speakers were invited to speak on the topic .

PDG Michael Olawale-Cole, Chairman of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce, represented by Temiloluwase Oluwatanmi, Group Human Resources Head of the Colenson Group, said: Teach children about how to keep the environment peaceful. ”

Olawale-Cole commanded people to be aware of the causes of conflict and the factors that can hinder peace and affect friendship.

He cited intolerance, unhealthy competition, destructive criticism, personality clashes, and arrogance as causes.

The club also conducted a Rotary Family Health Day, and an additional 100 children benefited from polio vaccination, screening and treatment for malaria, hepatitis B&C, tuberculosis, and more.

Oshoniyi lectured participants on the patient’s right to visit a hospital, the side effects of medications, and the right to see a doctor of their choice.
