Ricky Morton set to team up with his son in potentially huge tag team match

Ricky Morton believes that people are as old as they feel, or at least as old as their opponents show you.

“I’m 66,” Morton said The latest episode of his “School of Morton” podcast. “When you step in the ring with someone, they can make you look like you’re 66, or they can make you look like you’re 28. There are very few true workers in this industry.”

According to the WWE Hall of Famer, too many people today say, “I worry about taking care of myself, but I don’t worry about what we’re talking about in this match. ”.

Morton stumbled upon the topic after being asked about the briscoes Morton had entangled in The 2019 NWA Crockett Cup is underway. The Briscoes defeated Morton and longtime tag partner Robert Gibson, but were eliminated in the semi-finals by eventual winners Brody King of Villain Corporation and PCO. Morton has been tangled up with the Briscoes, but they’re not the only former ROH Tag Team Champions Morton wants to ditch.

“I want to wrestle the Young Bucks, I will,” Morton said, much to the delight of his son Kelly.

His co-host also says they’re “all on board” with the idea. He is not as active as in recent years, Morton wrestles with his son Kelly, who is clearly excited about the prospect of wrestling with AEW Executive Vice President. He was missing in a match against Brian Pillman Jr. Ric Flair’s last match.
