NFL Point Spreads: 5 Picks for Week 5

I am participating in an NFL contest that requires submission 5 picks against the spread every week. Following last week’s 4-1 record, the number of draft picks in the second four weeks of the season is 13-7. It’s hard for him to pick one winner, much less for him to pick five, but it’s a good challenge. Please note that lines are set spreads released every Wednesday and selections are submitted Friday night.

Here are my five favorite ATS picks for Week 5.

Cowboys +5.5 vs. Rams

It’s a game of Dallas Pass Rush. Both LBs Micah Parsons and DE demarcus lawrence You have to feast on the battered Los Angeles offensive line. His three starters have (probably) returned from concussions, groin injuries or knee injuries. An injury up front saw him QB for the Rams. Matthew Stafford He has 16 sacks this season, but has thrown only four touchdowns with six interceptions. Cowboys sack Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow Six times in a 20-17 win in Week 2. This matchup may be similar.

Seattle’s offense has hit the red zone or scored a touchdown on 47% of its drives, trailing only the Chiefs. That’s partly thanks to the consistent play of the Seahawks QB. Jean Smith, leading the league in completion rate (77%) and in the top 10 in passing yards. The New Orleans defense is the bigger test, but it’s the Saints offense that I’m undermining. The Saints lead the league in turnovers with 10 fumbles and 5 interceptions. I’m not endorsing the near-touchdown favourites, which are weak to giveaways.

Cardinals +5.5 vs. Eagles

Philadelphia look dominant, but one leak is the second half scoring. The Eagles were shut out late in two games against the Vikings and Washington. That doesn’t count the 4th quarter shutout against Detroit in Week 1. The Eagles scored nine against the Jaguars last week, but it was his two turnovers from Jacksonville that led to his goal and touchdown on the field. Backdoor has his cover all over this as the Cowboys take to the deck in his NFC East showdown in Week 6.

49ers -6.5 vs. Panthers

San Francisco’s defense is strong. The 49ers lead the league in opponent punts per play. Not only is the team not downfield against this unit, they are also scoring much lower – in fact, the San Francisco defense has yet to concede a first-half touchdown this season, with 22 total possessions in the first half. The Red Zone has zero trips for him.

This makes things tougher for the Panthers offense, which has been anemic so far and has only scored six touchdowns in 46 drives. This is tied for the lowest percentage in the league. They also average just 5 plays per possession, the lowest in the league. Carolina QB baker mayfield This Panthers offense either gets sacked, flips the ball over, or punts the ball. Good luck against a solid 49ers defense this week.

Bucs -8.5 vs. Falcons

I don’t focus on off-field issues Tampa Bay QB Tom Brady It may or may not pass. I can only use the data that I have. The data shows that Bucs is in a solid bounce spot. In his four games with the Falcons, Brady has 15 touchdowns in his passes and just two of his interceptions, outscoring Atlanta 153-96.Swiss army knife of his RB players in Atlanta cordarrell patterson out and he accounts for half of the total rushing yards and scores.

Falcons QB Marcus Mariota A great QB, but with just three touchdowns to four interceptions, he doesn’t seem to have the chops to manage a “play from behind” situation. starting with 33 pass attempts in Week 1, and just 19 pass attempts last week against Cleveland. This is a bad matchup for Atlanta, who fall as the only team in the league perfect against the spread.
