Moving may be subject to a special enrollment period

If you or your family are moving soon (or have moved within the last 60 days),

enroll in health insurance. This means that even after Open Enrollment ends, you may still be eligible for Marketplace health insurance coverage for the remainder of 2017.

What movements are covered?

  • moving to a new home in a new zip code or county
  • Traveling to the United States from Foreign or U.S. Territories
  • Travel to or from school
  • seasonal workers in and out of where they live and work
  • Transfer to or from a shelter or other temporary housing

travel only for treatment or stay somewhere else for vacation won’t count.

Note: More than just moving

This entitles you to enroll in the plan outside of the open enrollment period. Other life changes, such as marriage, childbirth or adoption, or loss of job compensation, may also qualify. Answer a few questions to see if you qualify.
