“I’ve never been in the ring with Toni Storm. I’ve never been in the ring with Nyla Rose. So I’m literally like all of these dream scenarios in my head. It’s a thing…you’ll see Anna Jay and Julia Hart walking down the hallway and I feel like me and Julia can make magic together.”
She said, “There’s so much potential in some of these young athletes, and at this point in my career, I feel like those are the matches I want to play…”
Rayne then spoke about a rising star that has stood out for her since joining AEW. “There’s boundless talent in the locker room. I feel like people just haven’t started to appreciate the depth of Penelope Ford yet. Wait for Bunny to come back. Get the minutes and the minutes for that game.” It’s insane what she can do in a record.”
Layne made her official 2022 debut for AEW on the August 5 episode of “Rampage” facing Layla Gray. She also participated in a TBS Championship match against reigning champion Jade Cargill, facing Serena Deeb on the September 9 episode of “Rampage” and losing by her submission.
