Lincoln 0-3 Peterborough: Luxury Cruise to Victory Against Imps
Peterborough gave their play-off rivals an early warning with a 3–0 win over Lincoln in the early kick-off of League One.
Darren Ferguson’s posh cut the gap to just 4 points before the afternoon’s game as he handed the Imps their first home league loss of the season.
Goals from Johnson-Clark-Harris, Jack Taylor and Joe Ward damaged Sinsil Bank as the visitors extended their winning streak.
The host showed first when Matty Virtue’s strike powered the side netting.
Jamaican striker Clark Harris opened the scoring with his 24th goal of the season in the 28th minute with an unmarked home shot after Harrison Burroughs met Nathaniel Ogbeta’s cross from the left.
After half-time, Daniel Mandroiou nearly equalized, but his free-kick hit the wall and the post.
It was almost 2-0 just before time as Ward’s half-volley from the edge of the box rattled the inside of the post.
However, Taylor made no mistake in the 23rd minute and his deflected effort hit the back of the net.
Ward added his third goal in the seventh minute, making it the second in all-time appearances.
