Kebbi: Bagudu, APC Candidate Praises INEC’s Improved Performance
Governor Abubakar Atik Bagdu Governor of Kebi Province and All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate Dr. Nasir Idris yesterday spoke of the visible improvements recorded during the state’s gubernatorial and state legislative elections. Praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Also, Senator Abubakar Atiku, Chair of the APC Progressive Governors Forum, presented the award shortly after voting at Garkar Mai Alelu Polling Unit 006, Nasarawa 11, Birnin Kebbi.
He said yesterday’s election saw significant improvement by INEC, unlike the presidential and parliamentary elections, where many voting units were delayed in the arrival of election materials and the start of the election.
The governor said, “Unlike what happened on February 25th, ballots arrived early at most polling places today. We arrived and the voting started around 2pm.
“But today, at 8am, I got my ballot materials.
Similarly, Idris expressed joy at the large number of voters, especially women and young people, who came together to exercise their right to vote.
He commended INEC, security agencies, civil society organizations (CSOs), media and other stakeholders for their contribution to the peaceful conduct of yesterday’s elections in the state.
He assured the people that his administration would implement an open-door policy and that the people would enjoy the dividends of democracy.
