Kanye West Swipes Donald Trump in First Video of 2024 Presidential Election


Rap music artist Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, released his first campaign video Thursday for the unlikely 2024 presidential election, attacking former President Donald Trump.

In a video posted to Twitter, Ye shared that he had previously offered Trump the position of running for vice president, and the comments left Trump confused and annoyed.

“Trump was most upset by [was] I asked him to be my vice president,” Ye said in the video.

These comments were made during a “debriefing” session on the clerk’s visit to the White House and meeting with then-President Trump on October 10. 2018.

In Thursday’s campaign video, Ye also challenged Trump about not acting to legally protect those who broke into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 2. June 6, 2021 while in office.

The owner of the “Yeezy” clothing brand said he “came in with intelligence” during the conference as a “Trump lover” and urged his supporters to listen more.

“He basically gives me a mob kind of story about everything he went through to get Alice Johnson out of prison and he didn’t do it for Kim. [Kardashian] But he did it for me,” Ye recalls in the video.

Johnson was 63 when Trump pardoned him in 2018.

The music mogul also claimed the former president yelled at him and insulted then-wife Kim Kardashian.The two split in March 2022.

Ye then claimed that Trump “basically started yelling at me at the table and saying I was going to lose.”

“Has it worked for anyone in history?” you joked.

He added: “Does that mean I lose? Wait a minute, you’re talking to Ye.”

Ye has previously commented that he is targeting the 2024 presidential election, but has not officially announced his intentions to run.

Trump formally entered the 2024 presidential election a week after the midterm elections, promising to “make America great and bright again.”
