Justin Gaethje claims the key to beating Rafael Fiziev at UFC 286 is mastering certain situations.

Justin Gaethje believes he’ll have to put in the perfect performance to beat Rafael Fidzieff in the co-main event of UFC 286 on Saturday.

“The Highlight” last stepped into the octagon at UFC 274, where he lost to lightweight champion Charles Oliveira. Prior to their fight, Gaethje earned Fight of the Year honors in a match against Michael Chandler in 2021, winning by unanimous decision.

The 34-year-old has a 6-4 record in the UFC since his debut in 2017, with eight of those fights boasting a staggering 10-fight bonus. Looking to ruin the American fighter’s party at UFC 286 is Fiziev, with his impressive six-fight victories, including five post-fight bonuses.

Speaking to the media this week, Justin Gaethje I was asked about the key to victory. Gaethje acknowledged that Fiziev had “crazy” skills and suggested that he would have to put up a perfect fight to win.

“There’s no way around it. He has some crazy skills. Especially for those who aren’t trained… I think he can take advantage of certain situations. More damage in certain situations.” I think we can also give it a little more control over the distance, so we have to be perfect on Saturday.”
