I accept the results of the election, says Governor Bouch The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria & World News
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate and Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammed said he would accept the results of the state’s ongoing gubernatorial election.
He also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the smooth voting process in his hometown of Yerwa Dugri in Alkaleri Municipal Region.
Shortly after casting the ballot at polling station 008 Bakin Dutse in Dugri, Muhammad said, “The INEC, as far as I know, can see the process, whether it is electronic or manual. Very peaceful. And very orderly.
“As soon as we came in, they didn’t have to snap me. It didn’t take. I think INEC did a good job.”
The governor also praised the high turnout of voters in the area, saying “the bigger the crowd, the more likely we are to win,” but he doesn’t want to predict the outcome.
He said he observed that people were full of joy and ready to exercise the franchise, saying, “This is the kind of process that we want, without animosity and conflict, thank God. We are ready to accept the results.
“We will continue to do all things as long as the election is peaceful and acceptable by the grace of God.”
