We know that using HealthCare.gov is frustrating for many Americans. HealthCare.gov’s first consumer experience did not meet American expectations. We are committed to doing better.

Since our launch day, we have collected feedback through our customer service representatives, social media channels, and hundreds of thousands of online surveys and comments. And we are listening.

We’ve made changes to directly address your feedback and will continue to do so. Some of the most important changes so far:

  • you can find improved calculatorwhether your income and household size can qualify you for low monthly premiums and out-of-pocket costs.
  • You can apply for compensation in 4 ways: by phone, online, by mailing a paper application, or with the help of an in-person assistant.
  • If you need more information, we’ve added educational online content: about estimating income, accounting for people in your household, eligibility rules, and more.

Also, please continue to give us your feedback via the blog posts below, social media pages, or a small ‘Was this page helpful?’ message. A survey that appears near the bottom of most pages on the site.

We will not rest until every American who needs affordable, high-quality coverage can get it using the method that works best for them.
