Governor Katsina’s nephew, two security guards killed in car crash


Three people, including two security guards, lost their lives when Katsina Governor Aminu Masari’s convoy was involved in an accident late Friday night.

The accident happened last night near a village called Jimkamushi. The governor and his entourage were on their way to their hometown of Kafur for the gubernatorial and provincial council elections.

It turns out that those killed at the scene of the accident were Kabir Adam and Nural Safiyanu, all police officers.

The third victim was the governor’s nephew, and three others were found injured during the incident.

The injured are currently being treated in hospital, but the bodies of the deceased are expected to be buried on Saturday.

State police spokesperson SP Gambo Issar and state governor’s media assistant Al Amin Issar confirmed the incident.

According to Al-amin, “The two police officers who died are Nura Sufayanu, Kabir Ali, and the governor’s nephew, Amadu Ali.

“The accident occurred in the village of Gadar Tuntsae, near Cikamsi in the Musawa municipality area.

“Three others are being treated at Marmfasi General Hospital.”
