“Given the chance, this game could definitely be part of eSports”: BGMI star Mortal thinks Road to Valor has potential


Krafton’s Road to Valor: Empires was released in India earlier this week. Prominent his BGMI star Naman “MortaL” Mathur was seen trying out a newly released strategy game in a recent livestream. The Indian star introduced it to the audience and answered their questions.

Towards the beginning of the stream, viewers asked for the creator’s thoughts on whether the game has an esports setting. On the contrary, BGMI YouTuber said they have been playing the game for the last few days and feel they have room.

MortaL is quoted as saying:

“Look, I’ve been playing this game for the last three days and honestly this game has the ability. Definitely this game could be part of esports if given the chance Likewise, many players have played Age of Empires before and similar units are available in the game, which is the best part.”

Aside from talking about the potential for Road to Valor: Empires to become an esports, the BGMI star said: new strategy game:

“Hey guys, this is a game you must try. I was planning to play another game a few days ago, but when I saw Mafia playing the game, I decided to give it a try. Before I knew it I was playing Road to Valor: Empire Till Morning.

Mortal added that he has played the game a lot and has already won over 2600 trophies to join Battlefield 7. He provided further insight into this quantum, adding that only about 25-30 trophies can be earned in each match. He then introduced viewers to the history of the match.

Road to Valor: Empires will be released worldwide in 2022 and is essentially the successor to the popular mobile game Road to Valor: World War II. The game debuted in India on his 15th March 2023 and was published by Krafton.

At its core, Road to Valor: Empires is a real-time PvP strategy game. Similar to Clash Royale, the player has the sole goal of destroying the enemy’s defensive towers within a set amount of time using the deck’s Guardians (armies). It remains to be seen how Indian audiences will react to the game.
