Nick Mangold is one of the greatest Jets in franchise history.

He was totally dominant in the offensive line, made seven Pro Bowls, almost never missed one, led the Jets to back-to-back AFC Championship games, and spent his entire 11-year career with Gang Green. on sunday, He will join the Jets Ring of Honor at halftime Jets vs. Bengals at MetLife Stadium. Not many jets deserve more. He’s also aiming to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2023, and it’s hard to argue that he doesn’t deserve a place in Canton one day.

Mangold joined me for a great interview with Brian Costello on a new episode of the “Gang’s All Here” podcast. He covered everything from how special the Ring of Honor is to talking about his favorite Jets memories in the Hall of Fame to embracing New York to the current Jets. Coz and I also discussed his column On dating Joe Flacco If he leads the Jets to victory on Sunday. Then preview and predict the big Jets vs. Bengals game.

Jake Brown and Brian Costello Podcast “Gang’s All Here”

  • Mangold Ring of Honor: suitable for him. Coz has loved covering for him over the years, and he knew how to turn the personality on and off on camera. he is a very funny guy. He is arguably one of the greatest Jets of all time. That offensive line is ridiculously durable and played together for a few years which is a rarity these days.
  • Flacco time: Should the Jets give Flacco one more game, even with Zach Wilson ready? To practice, I’m leaving the door open, and the Jets fan Coz mentioned wasn’t very kind about his thoughts.
  • Bengals @ Jets Preview: 0-2 Bengals are desperate for a win. Joe Burrow and Offensive Line have not been good in his first two games. For the Jets, it’s a revenge game for CJ Uzoma and Carl Lawson. Does Flacco have more magic?Because of Mangold and positive his mojo, I use Jets 27-24. Coz is with the Bengals.

Nick Mangold Interview:
Former Jets Center, 2022 Jets Ring of Honor

  • Ring of Honor: It’s mind-boggling to see his name on there. It would be great if his children and grandchildren could see it at MetLife Stadium forever. Speech is around 1:45.
  • hall of fame: Do you think you could be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame?
  • Jet Memories: Koz saw just one game the Jets’ offensive line played without Mangold and realized just how good Mangold was. She had a special bond with Mark Sanchez and is still dating him. They were a tight-knit unit on those teams. Unfortunately, 2015 to his 2016 is the turning point.
  • Current Jet: Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas build their team the right way starting with the offensive line. I like the direction they’re headed.
  • Accept New York: An Ohio guy, but his family fell in love with New York and New Jersey. Long Island was the culture shock that started there. Jets fans are real and want excellence. I became a Yankees fan because of Nick Swisher. I became a Rangers fan because Ryan Fitzpatrick was associated with his Rangers games.
