On Sunday, Brigadier General Ahmed, executive director of the National Youth Service Corps, praised the selfless and tremendous contributions of its members across the country during the gubernatorial and provincial legislative elections held yesterday.
He said their participation in the elections brought another accolade to the scheme for its significant progress for national unity and the country’s socio-economic development.
Ahmed said in a statement by Eddie Megwa, Director of Press and Public Relations, the performance of the personnel who served as INEC special staff during the elections in Bunu East 012 Sharguwatar, Das Central 005 and other areas. said: Voting Unit 003 Botong Thapsin District and Voting Unit 001 Kofar Sakin Fada Thapsin District in Tafawa Balewa Local Government District of Bauchi State also praised their resilience as the period lasted.
The Executive Director also monitored Legion members who worked as election officers at Government Secondary School Bogoro and Voting Unit 003, Gwaranga, located in the Bogoro Local Government Area of the state.
General Ahmed appealed to voters to join forces members who were ready to carry out electoral duties towards the exercise’s success.
On the eve of the election, the Executive Director visited members of three different Registration Area Centers (RACs) located within Bauchi’s Hassan Usman Katsina Unity College, Bakali Duk Primary School and Shekhar Primary School and advised them to comply. Strictly observe electoral laws while fulfilling their duties.
