EFCC spokesperson Wilson Woorjalen said the suspect had no idea it was bait.

His arrest followed a petition by the victim, which cost the suspect N5 million in processing costs for a visa to Canada.The suspect had promised the victim a job upon arrival in Canada. However, he merely distributed fake visas to the victims and all his efforts to get the money back were in vain.

The suspect will be charged in court once the investigation is concluded.
