El estudio internacional Cuatrecasas has decided to strengthen its office in Santiago by incorporating lawyer Sebastian Layton as a new associate in the energy sector.
El profesional tieene una extensa experiencia en el área, pues antes se despempenaba como jefe de la división juridica de la Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles (SEC), en la que estuvo Leads a team of 25 professionals in three years.
Layton has worked with offices in Chile and North America and electrical projects including development, acquisition, financing, international trading in conventional and renewable generation, distribution and transmission.
Similarly, regulators have been involved in various sanctions processes, administrative litigation, participation in legislative projects, approval of power concessions, and green hydrogen projects. Layton is also involved in normative interpretations of the energy sector.
A graduate of the University of Chile, El abogado holds a master’s degree in law from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Estados Unidos) and a certificate in clean energy and technology from the same university.
