Colin Cowherd says MJ’s legacy is nothing without Jackson and Pippen
Colin Cowherd There’s a new notable opinion that sports Twitter isn’t responding well to anything. Michael Jordan …it wouldn’t be all that great without a few key pieces.
The FS1 broadcaster has jumped on his own podcast network. volumethis week we talk about the NBA GOAT… MJ’s legacy and success, he argues, has a lot to do with two specific people who helped him achieve the status he enjoys — Phil Jackson and Scottie Pippen.
“With the exception of Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson, this whole Michael Jordan myth is exactly like that.”

@TheVolumeSports
It doesn’t sound like such a wild opinion, but CC’s way of saying it, in his typical factual style, is a bit harsh and cold-blooded. Here’s how he phrased it… “So he tried baseball. He failed. He tried possession and he was terrible. He tried Wizards but It bombed.”
Cowherd added, “Everyone gets it. Leave out Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson. This whole Michael Jordan mythology is just like that.” He said he was a selfish player and was not good at building communities.
Colin finally said that Michael is good at building wealth for himself and that’s fine…and that’s just the reality of who he is.of larger context Or his conversation here pertains to reports that MJ will sell majority ownership of the Hornets.
As for how the internet is taking this POV… not so good.Bird app users are kind of fed up with him memes and jokes, It suggests Colin downplays Mike’s individual greatness.
As always, I’m sure Colin has more to say on the subject.
