Can a ‘back to work’ budget boost UK economic growth?

The Finance Minister has made getting Britons back to work a central part of his economic growth plan.

The UK economy is still in worse shape than it was before the pandemic.

One reason is that since the outbreak of COVID-19, more than half a million British workers have disappeared from the workforce, despite unemployment at historically low levels.
