California meteorologist says ‘it’s okay’ after passing out during live broadcast

Alyssa Carlson Schwartzan award-winning meteorologist and former Mrs. California, passed out on live Saturday morning.
The CBS Los Angeles meteorologist was right there on the 7am KCAL newscast with co-anchors Nichelle Medina and Rachel Kim, who had just introduced Carlson Schwartz. her eyes rolled back and she fell to the ground In a recording released by TMZ.
“Thank you so much for all the emails, messages and calls!” Carlson Schwartz wrote on his Instagram story that afternoon. “i’m good!”

A KCAL spokesperson did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Carlson Schwartz revealed that she had miraculously recovered from a heart condition in 2014. She discovered the condition after throwing up during a broadcast on another station.

“They told me, after all, the valve probably needs to be replacedThey didn’t know when it would wear out,” recalls Carlson Schwartz to KGET Bakersfield in 2018, where he was chief meteorologist before joining KCAL in 2021.
