Aston Villa extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to four games with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth at relegation-challenged Villa Park.
Unai Emery’s side set the tone early on with a goal from Douglas Lewis in the seventh minute. However, Bournemouth responded well and gave Aston Villa an equal Test for much of the match.
They came closest just an hour later when Emiliano Martinez made a spectacular diving save to prevent Philip Billing’s thunderous free-kick.
However, Bournemouth surrendered in the final 15 minutes of the game, with Aston Villa scoring two more. Emi Buendia (89) rounded out the season with his fifth goal after Jacob Ramsey (80)’s tenacious play scored his second goal for the home side.
