A United 767 scheduled to take off from JFK Airport on September 11, 2001, may have been the fifth plane targeted by the hijackers. This is according to a flight attendant and the pilot of the plane, TMZ will be sharing Monday’s United 23 story on his FOX at 9pm ET.
TMZ conducted a six-month study on United Flight 23, scheduled to depart JFK at 9:00 a.m. … bound for Los Angeles. Committee members and others were interviewed about a series of suspicious activities on board… suspicious enough to involve the FBI.
Four first-class passengers raised suspicions shortly after boarding. A flight attendant said one of the passengers was a man disguised as a woman.Parser [first class flight attendant] Those passengers said they didn’t eat meat and there were only two fruit plates in the galley. She wanted to get her plate of more fruit for the passengers to eat. That sparked a violent altercation…One of her passengers insisted, “We don’t want to eat. We don’t need food. We want to take off.” .” .. we just want to go.”
There were other reasons why flight attendants were suspicious of the first four passengers and the other two passengers in business class.
The plane was taxiing to the runway and about to take off when the World Trade Center was attacked and the airport was closed. The United 23 returned to the gate and escaped. The plane was empty and locked. Twenty minutes later, people on the ground saw two uniformed men running in the cabin of the United 23. Moments later, authorities arrived and opened the door, revealing a man on the ground from the fuselage of the aircraft. The hatch leading to the cabin was open.
The pilot believes the two may have been there to remove weapons and other incriminating evidence. I don’t know what was removed from Flight 23, but I do know that someone put a cutter in his pocket on the first class seat of the plane that was parked next to United Flight 23. A United 23 pilot believes these boxcutters were meant to be on his flight, but someone got his two planes mixed up.
The FBI interviewed the flight attendants later that day and brought them to the Port Authority line to see if they could identify the four passengers.
